I have never had a fun game of any size on this map. In 3v3 and under it can be sort of playable but the only way of playing it I have ever seen is spamming a forest of LLTs in your base. Other than that is is ugly, and the trees are hideous. Maybe I have only ever got games that were no fun at all on this and it can be an interesting 1v1 map. I guess I should try it again.

Agree with the trees being ugly, but I've had some nice 1v1 - 2v2 games here. had a good game vs Godde here in one of the tourneys in which I almost won a best of 3 with scalpel/mace rush xD

The game that launched my 1v1 elo into top10 for the first time was played here, incidentally also launching the yearly domi-hate thread.

P.S. trees aren't ugly. It's that they disappear when driven over. The models, however, fit landscape perfectly.

P.P.S it's technically impossible to make animatable features that i know of, and ZK restricts reclaiming non-owned units (including gaia), so using units wouldn't work either.

The default engine trees have an animation where they fall as they die. Seems quite possible indeed.

Unfortunately, that's limited to default engine trees. Which i consider bugs, not features.

Map is unbalanced. One of the southeastern metal spots has less output than all others. Soon to be fixed in ZK, but not other mods.

Any opposition to unfeaturing from MM pool? I've only heard negative comments about this map lately..

How many people did you hear that opinion from?

I don't have any particular objection to this map. It could be rotated out of matchmaking but I don't see any case for unfeaturing it altogether.

There has been a suggestion to replace this map in the mm pool, so I guess it'd be good to hear if somebody doesn't want this to happen.

I want to keep this map. I love pregame RPS in choosing commanders and factory choice! Randomness is fun! Especially when it sets you super far behind! I love having 30 seconds to prepare for a random rush from this or that!

It's been a little while since I regularly played 1v1 on this map, but I don't recall encountering all that much pregame RPS. Shield/lv/possibly hover, with a reasonable choice of com, are in my experience able to handle most anything the other guy can throw at you.

I think the map pool can afford to have one small map and this one is superior to the alternatives.
