A quick aesthetic updated to the classic Tabula to fix a few things that bothered me about an otherwise great map:

-Proper specular added that isn't just white noise

-Detailtextures updated to ones that don't look super pixellated up close

-Unit lighting improved to not wash out everything into a dull red

It seems to have a plastic wrap now >.>

It's ok for cliffs themselves, but occasionally it spills onto the grass texture and voila quicksilver.

I thought that was a feature >.>

Other than that, good job.

Any ideas why previous one was desyncing?

Ideal specular map is generated alongside the texture so you can isolate specific materials but without source file access this is what you get.

Besides, I disagree with the notion that grass shouldn't reflect direct sunlight. All brightly coloured materials reflect light to some degree.

This map also has a white sun and pink sky, there is no reason why units should be washed out into a dull red. Unit lighting made no sense in the context of the rest of the atmosphere. It reduces unit visibility and makes them look worse.

I based this off of v4 and tested with one teamgame, no desyncs yet. No idea what caused them in v5 series.

Undoubtedly. Neither would i say that grass should be matte.

However - and as you can see from your screenshot - it isn't a perfectly smooth highlight: that's what plastics have.

And the map. >.>

Nice job.

I think that hunterw and IceXuick are among the best map makers.
