DoF can be okay in a real game, provided you tweak the "autofocus" such that the effect falls off as both the distance to the focus plane increases, and as the difference in distances of the focus plane and other nearby (on screen) points, then the effect only really comes up when zoomed in. Also, if photo realism isn't required, tweaking it to be weaker on pixels near the camera still looks good while avoiding blurring out air units.

Nice video TheMooseIsLoose, units look great, now is the map that did fell ugly (maybe it's the lack of ground decal?), also need to fix unit getting inside another units when close thing.
