Where does ZK lobby keeps its mods? I want to manually update Evo RTS because it goes at 50B/s then stops midway without a download failed message when downloading the latest update and the spring features 1.0 file. I couldn't find the files by directory searching with the windows explorer.

Nope. None. I told you I used the search function out of desperation on the ZK Data folder. Must've saved it somewhere else for some reason. Can't find it. EDIT: Note that I keep ZK lobby in an external harddrive, if that helps.

If I create a new mods folder and put the latest Evo and Spring Features 1.0 there you think that'll work or will it still keep reading from the pool folder?

Spring 91.0 reads from 'pool', 'games' and 'mods' folders. Evo uses latest engine, so you'll need to actually post the .sdz into ' games'. Create if needed. Game placed in 'games' folder of ZKL datadir should be accepted. Don't place it in pool in any case, this is likely to break something unexpected, knowing how fragile things are at times :|

In new spring it has to be called "games" not mods.

Oh, Evo still uses .sdz deployment? And they finally killed "mods"? Good to know. Baleeted my previous erroneous post.

Evo uses rapid, but i belive OP wanted to manually download sdz because rapid was slow.

Slow? 50 Bp/s is unacceptable. That would literally take years to finish. And rapid tends to break a lot too. Quite unreliable.

think since 0.83 spring reads "games\" folder. "mods\" folder is deprecated since then and for backwards compability was around for another 3 years. Since 95.0 it is not read anymore.

If evo is on rapid no need to tinker with anything, just join the battle or host and enter exact name. ZKL has the original "rapid" system (it's the first implementation of it) and there are no reported issues with it.

The strange thing is that this problem has only been happening with this particular update to Evo and the spring features file. I tried getting Evo test through rapid and it's totally fine (except for spring features, meaning that I still need to manually download it to get it to work).

He probably forgot to reference spring features as a dependency for it

Issue is more sophisticated. Spring Features gets downloaded by ZKL but sync doesn't happen nevertheless for some reason. Also i was trying to play MCL via ZKL recently, also same issue. Both work with SL.

Im suspecting you are doing something silly/out of ordinary... Like manually starting spring.exe or using spring.exe from ZKL/folders in other lobby.. It wont work. If you only use ZKL and don't tinker manually im pretty sure EVO RTS will dl and play fine.

Suspicion incorrect, ZKL lives in its own bubble on my machine.

Maybe ZKL must register the mod first before it put player as "synced" status. Once I tried NOTA test version, I have to wait for long time for the unitsync to finish registering the mod before I can play.

But then ZKL doesn't use unitsync, which is kinda ZKL's reason for existence.

Actually, I was playing Evo yesterday and everyone needed to download Spring Features manually for it to sync. I'm not sure why, but it would only download about 1MB via ZKL before failing.
