Does funnel Dgun kill queen chix in one shot when the queen is grounded ???

Nothing kills queen in 1 shot except starlight... but thats a 30 second long shot...

No i think he was asking if it kills the chickens spawned by the queen. Not the queen itself.

I dunno I found it depends. I've seen a funnel Dgun kill a Bantha in one shot. If the queen bounces off of a hill at the right angle it might fly out of the map or up high enough that the impact damage kills it.

:/ hard to get queen to near the edge of the map
unless u get a few funnel to use dgun on the queen to the next funnel until u reach the edge of the map

It doesn't have to be close, you'd be surprised at how far things fly. When I killed the Bantha it was pretty far away (maybe 1/4 of the map distance in).

It doesn't really have synergy with the rest of the funnelweb, which is meant to stay at range, facing the enemy and use it's shield, drones and forward-facing gauss to hit the enemy. Not brawl into a huge pack and gravity gun them.
Though the juggernaut weapon was actually more interesting than anything else the funnelweb does so we'll like put it on another unit.

Funnelwebs rebalance seems a tad heavy handed to me
taking away the dgun, reducing shield strength, reducing HP
all at once, no price mitigation
uhm, excuse eh moi?
It never overperformed in any game I was witness too and the dgun just added flavour(although it didn't really synergise I liked it), being that it was only useful when the funnel itself was vulnerable, up close and personal

I never considered Funnelweb to be a real unit because it was just a bunch of stuff KR threw together which appeared to have no design behind it. Rafal said he would give it a second shield once he figures out how.

You just need to add another weapon in the animation script to get a second shield...

With two shields it has double the power of 1 shield. One of my issues with the unit was that it broke with a single shield which held 10500 charge. This shield looked exactly like any other shield and even if it looks different I don't think many types of shield are worthwhile. So it could have two normal shields, after all, it has two generators. The issue is with the shield link gadget.

I dont understand why you would remove the Dgun - it was weird and cool and it made me want to produce the unit, while not obviously breaking it. I understand that normal units need to be scalpel sharp at fulfilling their niche, but cant striders be a bit wacky and have characteristics that lack synergy?

They can have many weapons up to a point but the synergy destruction was too extreme in this example. Funnelweb has a fixed forwards gun and a shield. Surely the counter to it would be to get in close behind it with raiders. Nope, instant death by lifting ability.
I think we will readd the lifting ability on some new unit. Maybe a unit which has gravity guns to pull units in and a lot of health to survive all the collisions. It could be an anti-unit type strider.
For now, Funnelweb could lose a lot of cost, 4.5k sounds like a good place to start. I'll do that shortly.
