Rapid not working

Feedback 11 years ago The Rapid that comes with the zero-k installer of spring does not work. rapid-gui get stuck in loading and nothing happens. +0 / -0
[2up]knorke 11 years ago the problem is that rapid-gui.exe just shows 2 white list things. that happens when it is installed to wrong path. (relative to spring.exe or whatever) i think 0k setup installs it to wrong path. +0 / -0
[AG]abma 11 years ago (edited 11 years ago) rapid-gui on windows is broken, for some people it still works as they have cached files which are not available online any more. (especially http://repos.caspring.org/repos.gz ) see https://github.com/tvo/rapid/issues/41 for details pr-downloader.exe should work (but has no gui) +0 / -0
Licho 11 years ago On windows, it is highly recommended to use Zero-K lobby, as this is the thing maintained by the Zero-K development team. Other lobbies are not checked and maintained by us and we cannot guarantee they work well. +0 / -0
SinKitty 11 years ago can you say how you've got the dependencies for pr-downloader [AG]abma? Rapid requires an old python version. But if you use this old python version, you don't really need a gui It is easy to use with a console. +0 / -0

[2up]knorke 11 years ago you want want to download Complete Annihalation. with zkl, you can not. (unlikely that you have replay of a game you have not downloaded) +0 / -0
Licho 11 years ago @[2uP]knorke of course it is possible! There are two methods: 1) go to spring://rapid (type rapid into address bar) to access rapid GUI in the lobby 2) go to open new game, type advanced and write rapid tag (or mod name) to spawn :-) +0 / -0
[2up]knorke 11 years ago 1) Hsving to type undocumented command into adress bar - WAT 2) "open new game" before having downloaded that game..not very obvious ;) and again have to type things. (how would one get excact mod tag/name?) +0 / -0
