www.gog.com

Goold old games. Well not so old. This is fast growing game publishing site with 1m monthly visitors or so, basically games without DRM.

Thing is I saw warsow(open source FPS) under free games and good thing is its not overcrowded AT ALL. And more there is ZERO FREE RTS GAMES. So I think zero-k really should appear in it.

I dont know how to upload game here, probably by contacting them directly or so but I think it is really worth to try, if warsow made it zero-k can too.

Since there is no button "submit game" and there is very few free games (probably for quality reason or so) and they working with proper game studios, they wont even bother to answer to some random guy who offers zero-k game.

Which one has more chances to get answer?

"I m playing zero-k and I think it should appear on gog.com since its great RTS..." VS "I m lead developer of zero-k and we would like to publish? zero-k on gog.com."

And I m really not gonna impersonate that I m developer of zero-k or something to make proper apearence since I would be 3rd man in the middle anyway.

Overassumption.

Then claim to be the advertising guy ;) which would be totally truth.

What a bad excuse. You're just being lazy, wolas. :P

We've had this discussion before. Someone claimed it's better if players suggest a game than if developers try to advertise for "their" game. Your English is decent, you've been with ZK for as long as it existed, you know how this game aims to be, you're #15 and GOG was your idea. I think you're a good representative.

The DRM-free digital distributor is actively seeking to sign new indie devs’ games on GOG; interested developers can submit their games to GOG.com by emailing WeLoveDevs@gog.com

Ok I m sending email anyway.

Hi Andrius,

Thanks a lot for your submission and your interest in GOG. It’s great to see guys like you creating open source games that everyone can enjoy! :)

We’ve taken a look at zero-k and unfortunately we’re going to have to pass on the game.

We do release some free games but I’m afraid that zero-k did not really stand out to us and so we feel that it will not be such a good fit for GOG.

If you have any other games in the future that might be a better fit for GOG, please let us know, and we’ll see if we can work together :)

All the best,

I bet they didn't get over the learning curve. :]

Punks don't even know about our deformable heightfield terrain and physically modelled projectiles.

ZK does look like run of the mill RTS with generic story. Steam also ignored us. The videos we made dont show any of its cool features, not even big fights.
It also has a massive learning curve and its not very polished.

I'm afraid that the game simply didn't really stand out to us. There was no
major deal breaker but we just didn't feel that the game would be a good fit
for us.

I'm sorry I can't be more help and that we couldn't work together

Well I thought that they wouldnt even bother to reply, but still took 7 days to answer :)

So, nothing new from this direction?

Because there's this :

http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games

Might be a good idea to have an entry there before Steam release...
