Add ability to cancel rearm on bombers

Currently bombers are glued to the landing pad while rearming.

It's very frustrating when you see an attack coming and have plenty of time to move off the pad to move to another pad only to not be able to take off and then lose the units.

Can we add a button to cancel the rearm so the plane can take off.

I think the UI which stops you accidentally moving your rearming bombers off their pads is useful most of the time. What about making the Stop command stop rearm, or making a similar one-click command for that purpose?

Yeah that's what I would like to see.

would reclaiming the airpad or self-ding the airpad help?
(havn't tested in real game yet...)

Since we're talking about a feature request...

DErankAdminmojjj may have been joking, but maybe it's not a bad idea. Instead of planes having a command to stop rearming, what about giving everything that can rearm them a command to eject all planes in an emergency? It can even have a cool-down if that ever becomes necessary. If desired, there can also probably be a bit of an AI that ejects them automatically when the structure is attacked.

That is likely to be easily abused by plinking the building with a swift.

Oh, come on. It doesn't have to be so stupid as to be triggered by the most minute amount of damage, obviously. "Artificial Intelligence" implies a certain amount of,... you know,... intelligence. At the very least it could be made to take a reasonable amount of damage before/instead of letting a lonely Swift (or Scythe) ruin the air player's day.

with your idea, i still see the problem of a unit being stuck on an allied reload location, e.g. reef parking irresponsible close to front

I think that is more a problem of having no "preffered" landing pad option. Planes really shouldn't be landing on pads in scouted static AA range for example. The landing ai should probably be a bit more smart with how it decides where to land, not just how far away it is.

For example I normally build a terraformed pad with 4 caretakers around it so I can rearm and repair my Likhos quickly and safely. If it then goes and lands on another player's pad which is not protected and dies, kinda sucks. Or the other player might not have any energy income and can't fund the repair / rearm.
