This epic store is cancer. I didn't grabbed gta, have no regret whatsoever. Civ is dumb casual shit, paradox gsgs are much better. Don't support epic store, is a predatory and toxic business. Check out this amazing cover instead, just stumbled on it.

I have much more hate to a site like G2A than the epic games store. Steam has lived forever with all the market share anyway, even though other sites like GOG and Humble bundle exist. Does epic employ child labor to power the servers with exercise bikes in some lizard people basement? Epic game exclusives and revenue splits are the big two things that come to mind(Besides Fortnite) and while exclusives are bummers, games like Supergiant's Hades is now also on steam, which I'm still waiting for it to pop out of early access anyway, and Outer Wilds is joining steam in less than a month, so as someone who waits till long after release for cheaper games, this year+ long exclusivity doesn't effect me all that much. As for revenue splits, selling on steam was cheaper than manufacturing/moving physical game disks, but what was a 30/70 split for valve compared to epic's, what, 10/90? Epic is selling their platform to game developers first to get market share, that just sounds like business to me.

Paradox games aren't that much better after you factor in garbage like dlc spam, horrible launchers, and late game performance. Never, ever, forget what they did to City: Skylines, Stellaris or Prison Architect. Civ6 is looking to go the route of dlc spam as well, which is a damn shame. Although Civ4 was probably the last good civ game, being honest here.

Exclusivity deals are basically monopoly and should be illegal, and Epic is shitty for using them. That being said, I'm not gonna tell anyone to not buy games from Epic. The customer's gotta look out for number 1 and write angry letters to their senators or whatever (although if you have patience, waiting generally gives you cheaper deals in the end, and in this particular case also lets you use the vastly superior Steam instead). Civ 4 was too much of a spreadsheet simulator to my tastes. Civ 5 and specially 6 pivoted in the opposite direction too much and basically turned the experience into a kind of board game. Also ending the stacks of doom placed way too much focus in the combat in my opinion, and forced the entire game to contort itself around it, even though its supposed to be only a facet of the experience. When you are at war turns take 5x longer than when you are not.

CK2, EU4, Vic2 and HoI4 are decently playable even late-game, Stellaris is a disaster of gameplay anyways. Wiz did a good thing with planet management, but warfare there is just AWFUL. Cities skylines tried once, didn't enjoyed much. never played Prison Architect... don't care. That said, Paradox games while not awesome on their own, are still infinitely better than casual garbage like Civ 5-6. Civ3 was very good. quote:

People are making fun of Bethesda first for ruining their own DRM by launching the game with a "clean" exe on the folder, then by implementing an universally hated anti-cheat that managed to make people hate a good version of doom, which scientists previously thought was impossible.

I registered and not allowed on 28 May, how shall I react? GTA wasn't a game I ever interested in, watched people playing GTA1/GTA2/GTA3/GTA4 not interested, the main reason I don't like cars, and I don't know cars. Played CIV 2 when I was a kid, I think it was the game I learnt a fact: I don't want to remember so much for a game. CIV6 will it provide a reason for me to upgrade my PC to one with a gaming graphic card, as the best graphic card I ever seen is a GTX1050, and best Processor is i5 8400.
