Hoko in Germany+Netherlands

Hallo meine Freunde,

In the end of October I'm starting a new job so to celebrate my last days of relative freedom (read: Unemployment) I'm doing a grand tour of Germany and some of its neighbours where you might be the highlight (if you want, and you should!).

I'd be very happy meeting just for a beer or similar, but do know it could be very nice if:
1) You have time to show me around.
2) You invite me to a party instead of hiding me from your friends.
3) You're a student in a university or a member in a maker club, CCC etc. and they'd want me to give a talk about open source, spring/ZK.
4) You have a couch I can sleep on for a day or two ( Anarchid and TurBoss have survived this and should be able to remove any fears you might have).
If not, no worries, though! Just sitting over beer is more than enough :)


As I still don't know who wants to meet me, where they want to do that etc. I don't have concrete plans yet, but I'll start 22-23.09 (two weeks from now) in Switzerland (Zurich).
After a few days I plan to travel all over Germany and meet friends from ZK and elsewhere.
I'll finish somewhere mid-October, probably in Berlin. Alternatively if there's a strong demand for my arrival to a neighbouring country, I might finish there.

Cobbling to the US when?

I probably have time around (maybe even 26,27)28 or 29 September and could show you around Schorndorf (near Stuttgart).
I will write again when you start your trip, then i hopefully have better information.

Schorndorf is indeed worth showing. If hoko is willing and mobile, probability just raised we all meet zomg.

If 28-29 is problematic, i now actually know that i have time 26-27 too.

Probably would even be worth buying a "Bahncard" / "Probe Bahncard" if youre rlly intending to travel that much with public transportation. Theres a bunch of special offers/partner programmes which give a some % off on a lot of stuff, maybe its worth it, maybe not. U might be able to skip the delivery time by useing the app.

Still recomend the car the most cuz no speed limit!

Only hindeance in law: You may only drive as fast as youre capable of breaking within ur vision & You may not dazzle others with the "Fernlicht"/big lights. Ofc some roads are speed regulated/building sites.

btw "no speed limit" is only on the highway and only on about 20% of it...

Count me in, and no worries Manu12 I'll find a place to sleep, it's never a problem.
