If we made airpads (except for the one on the plant) on the repair at 40 build power instead of 10 that should do it. Gunships would also have a reason to use them so we can get rid of the rest of the drones from the game.

almost nobody uses reef, the drones need to be independent. made in gunship factory like locusts and nimbus. reef needs to be longer so u can put more airpads it has only 2 places for bombers. i put only 2 airpads for 8 bombers on mine this just one alternative. it has to have torpedo action. u can add that and the ability to make it longer so u can put units on it's deck.

The way to make reef not suck is to make the disarm missiles free and the drones respawn faster or stronger.

The disarm missile feels just as tacked-on as the previous sidearms Reef had (impaler missile, antinuke). A good design for a drone-oriented unit would be something that makes drones interesting.

I was imagining a whale unit like the title, but instead of a disarm missile a disarm bomb. The idea is it looks the disarm bomb like artillery and bombers can follow up. Current problems with the aircraft carrier in this game, you can't set rally points and planes don't get repaired quickly.

reef needs 4 aircraft reload points and much faster repair speed than normal airpad,and its drones should be only AA with missiles capable of taking out wyvern,its dgun should be a missile that goes to target location and scouts everything onroute like an owl,this should cost metal and take 20 sec to reload with 100 storage. this way it acts like a true carrier CnC unit with very good AA coverage and scouting potential. AA drones are a good idea imo because normal slow drones/attack drones are broken OP attrition machines.

here another design branca valas i dub ye brancas meaning white in portugues and valas which means whale come from finnish. it's longer has more space can fit scorpio's, dantes, funnelwebs and grizzlies. can't put detriments or paladins ( maybe funnelwebs either). but can dive with the units hence it's shield will support the water. and use stealth to transport units. can take aegis more shield and iris so to make it cloak unit. imagine stealth whale. it has aa defense on top and shoots torpedos under it's hull. i thought of something if possible to make can u say give the option where u can build on it's deck. yes dare i say it build cerebrus or bertha. well make things interesting build zenith or disco rave think where the tanks are and like if it was dirt u can build a mobile zenith. if to complicated just had an idea ;D.

I would rather give it an area cloak than a shield. There aren't any Striders with Area Cloakers yet, and it would be by far the most useful on an aircraft carrier so you can get all of the bomber alpha.

The only downside to creating a surface sea unit that projects area cloak is that it will itself be area-cloakable, allowing for true cloak meta in sea. On the other hand, maybe getting rid of drones and making Reef an entirely support oriented unit - the sea's anwer to funnelweb, except rather than shield and buildpower it would carry cloak and rearm?

perhaps no new design just a paint job on reef. give it a more whale appearance give it a cloaking ability, extend make it longer so it can can carry 4 minotuars that kind of space. and have 1 airpad and A half so it can carry 6 bombers. simple.

You could really go two ways with a redesign of the Reef. One is the mobile stealth/rearm idea (which I think would necessitate a reduction in cost and size by a lot, unless it rearmed much faster) (It has 175 worth of airpad and it would have 600 worth of area cloak.) The other is to commit to the drone idea, but switch the drones to being the D-ability, with limited duration deployment. Instead of continuously building drones to replace the lost ones, it instead "stockpiles" (no metal cost) drones and launches those when ordered. After 30 seconds or so, the drones automatically return to the carrier and dock, vanishing from sight. Both the D-gun recharge and restocking of drones is paused while drones are deployed, making them a bit less spammable. At the same time it would make their strike power a bit more resilient against being in AA (and also means that Reefs no longer die if there's enemy AA on the port side.)

All airpads probably need to be buffed to 40 build power with a maximum of 10 per pad so all aircraft have a reason to use them and there is a reason to build them for gunships. Reef would also gets its build power buffed to 20 build power also 10 build power per pad. The disarm missile feels slapped on and shouldn't be needed if it can use a Tnderbird as a sidearm. The drone question. I don't like drones and some of the developers don't like drones because they deviate from expected unit behavior a lot. To replace the drones yet to give Reef a similar role, It could have an area cloak and a field radar built in so it can act as the sea information platform. If that isn't strong enough for 3K we could a capture beam to it.

That road is too low, it would get wet and planes would crash into the sea cause of wind.
