I had this issue as well. The workaround was going to options and disabling the logging via steam.

If you don't want the server to go down, http://zero-k.info/Contributions.

The problem appears to be on the server provider's end. About all we can do from the Zero-K end would be sending them snippy emails. Since they are already working on the problem (as far as we can tell) this does not seem necessary.

The provider's status feed is here: https://twitter.com/ovh_status?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

I'm not sure which of those messages affects us though.

(In theory more money might buy more reliability but in my experience even the servers for AAA games go down from time to time, so I don't really know how much it would help.)

In theory we should have several servers, preferably in different regions...

We can't just spawn a bunch of servers because of licensing costs RUrankFirepluk.

I wouldn't have said ZK presently has the player base for multiple servers to be all that useful in the first place, outside of redundancy in the case of relatively rare events like this.
