Is it feasible to make it so when you rejoin a game you are a player in you can get right to the action instead of watching the entire game over in a fast paced replay?

Also i desync in game sometimes. Mostly it's just a minor nuisance but on some occasions it makes the game unplayable, especially in MM. The game often doesn't recognize me as disconnected until about 1 minute into the desync but on my screen it only says the game is ahead. I watched a replay where this happened and my cursor was still moving around even though I couldn't see anything moving when i was playing at the time (or rather waiting for game to catch up). I even told my factory to start building a new unit and hit the repeat button while waiting for game to catch up and I couldn't see if it worked but when I got back in I had like 15 of the unit. What i had to end up doing was exit to lobby then log out then log back in to rejoin.

Now i know my current internet isn't that great but i wonder if something couldn't be improved on the server end as well programming wise maybe? I was talking to someone yesterday about them having similar problems. Letting players rejoin games more quickly by avoiding the replay would help a little at least. Is there some way to quickly rejoin a game you are currently in (but not really in apparently)?

Also yeah i'm getting better internet in 2-3 months or so.

Not right now, it's an engine limitation. It might conceivably become possible in the future with engine-side save/reload but everybody in the game would have to pause.

Unless other people are experiencing the same issue at the same time I doubt it.
