So what's going to be done about how toxic Firepluk was being in this game?

If nothing is done them from this game on im just trolling since clearly there is no punishment for toxic behavior and harassment.

FP died 4 minutes in and did nothing but flame and be toxic. I didn't say a word up until he started becoming toxic.

Also funny how, once again, only his clan mate was backing up and in approval of his toxic behavior.

What a surprise!

It's almost like the ENTIRE TMNL clan is a toxic cancer on the game!

Having watched this game (and previous/subsequent games), neither you nor Firepluk behaved very well. Action has been taken accordingly.

And which game was I toxic in today?

Remember, "taking action" for not playing well or playing differently then how you think someone should play isn't what moderation is for.

Please link the replay, so we can see where I was being toxic. I look forward to explaining my actions and the learning experience.

This one. Saying "fuck off Astran" is not very nice. Astran is a nice person.

quote:

Incorrect. From the Code of Conduct:
"When playing in a team game, do your best to coordinate with your teammates and to work for the mutual success of the whole team."
This part of the Code of Conduct is not frequently enforced since

(a) it is difficult to tell whether somebody is "doing their best", particularly newer players.

(b) a reasonable amount of experimentation is allowed, and a lot is generally permitted as long as your team as a whole does not object.

Nevertheless, it is a part of the Code of Conduct.

When somebody makes it clear that they are deliberately not working for the success of their team for revenge or some such, that is not really acceptable.

Because Astran knew his clan mate was being a toxic dirt bag, yet refused to kick him because he didn't want to start drama in his own clan? I'm not allowed to express frustration at that? It's just more proof that TMNL cover for each others toxic behavior and harassment without batting an eye. Clearly Astran is NOT a very nice player as he approved of Firepluk's toxic harassment in his refusal to kick for an actual, legitimate reason.

And for your second part, where in this game was I not attempting to win? Even after firepluk being toxic as hell?? They controlled most of the map from the beginning, we were heavily out eco'ed near the entire game, from the beginning, and they were able to produce far more then I was in air. Meop was playing GS and didn't build a single thing but wasps and energy, no help at all when he could have at least made a few tridents seeing as their air was over whelming. Where is his punishment for not playing to the best he could even though he knows better?

You see, you open that can of worms and then there are a million examples of you not applying the rules evenly.

Did you see me complaining until Firepluk started being toxic as fuck and Astran pretty much encouraging it by not kicking him EVEN THOUGH he resigned at 4 minutes and was just verbally harassing from that point on? The ONLY person to vote no? Nope, to each their own play style and plan, i don't care how other people play until they start opening their mouth and blaming others and being toxic or allowing toxic harassment to continue, and Astran, his clan mate, approvingly voted "No", each time, and was the only no vote. Yup, sounds like a REAL nice guy to me!

I don't think Firepluk's conduct *before this point in this game* was unambiguously worth a kick, although if the room as a whole had wanted to kick him I would not have prevented it.

As such I think you are casting an entirely undeserved slur on Astran's character.

That part refers to Multiplayer B713280 11 on KochCanyon-v02, not this game.

A "no" vote is not meaningfully different to no vote at all. A majority of the people eligible to vote did not think Firepluk's conduct was worth kicking over.

I had a plan. That plan was to make a base able to defend my berthas.

Is it my fault no one else made units? Again though, did you see ME complain about that? hmmm, surprisingly, no, because I don't care how others choose to play. I'm not psychic! I don't know their plans! I don't pretend to know what strategy they have planned! I mean you probably should take action on everyone on my team then since we're going down that path.

And what about firepluk that game? He clearly should have known that gnats where coming, he didn't prepare correctly and build flak, he didn't do his best, he let himself be gnat emped and killed. Whelp, you better take action, clearly not playing his best. You seeing how silly that path is?

Have you figured out that i don't care how people play yet as long as they can keep their mouths closed and not be toxic toward everyone for their own failures that cause them to resign <5 minutes into the game which certain people have a habit of doing?

I would even go as far to say that anyone with a Star rank next to their name resigning at less then 5 minutes in a team game is clearly just trolling when they could easily ask for a cons and continue to help.

I don't intend to ban anybody over that Koch Canyon game. A game where half of the winning team all plopped gunships is not a game that was taken seriously by the room as a whole, and my standards adjust accordingly.

I do, however, wish to establish with you that playing badly in an attempt to take "revenge" on Firepluk or whoever is not okay.

It's not okay when other people do similar things either, and I know that they do.

quote:
You seeing how silly that path is?

Yes. This is why that part of the Code of Conduct is not frequently enforced. That doesn't mean it can't be, if the administrators are given sufficient cause to do so.

quote:

Other members of the community do care how their teammates (and even their opponents!) play. The administration team does not exist solely to give you what YOU want. It exists to make the community as a whole a nice place to be and Zero-K as fun a game as it can be for as many people as possible.

I've never ask'd the admin team to do anything other then punish the rampant toxic play and harassment of the TMNL clan, especially Firepluk, so I'm really not sure what you are referring to when you say "the admin team does not exist solely to give (me) what (I) want."

I'm not even asking for a ban, just that you find a way to punish it so it stops and we can *all* have fun enjoying a play style we enjoy playing. I don't want to be harassed because I build an anti at 10 minutes when there are people in game who routinely get nukes off at 13 minutes. I don't want to be harassed for building 3 cranes to help establish eco early. I don't want to be harassed when from time to time I just want to rush a Bertha, like many other "star" players.

I then don't want to be lectured by a mod when I get angry when game after game after game after game after game after game after game after game after game after game after game after game after game after game the same exact people harass others and nothing is done about it. How long has this been going on now when clearly even members of the mod team has expressed that yes, Firepluk is toxic as hell yet nothing seems to change.

Is that asking too much? Let me know.

No he didn't, that's just a warning with no (immediate) consequences.

I'm not happy if you were banned, id be happy if you could be less toxic when you die and resign less then 5 minutes into a game.

I'd be more happy if I stopped getting completely potato teammates often not due to their innate innability to play zk on anything but below horrible level but due to their willingness to screw with their team like moep was doing in most of his last games...

But nobody cares...
So yea, resign lobsters! There is no hope!

To clarify, I am more concerned with how the players play the game than with whatever spat Hellacious and Firepluk have. Firepluk was out front with me expanding and Hellacious was playing with himself in his base. We both got destroyed by enemy air when he was air and he never lifted a finger to help. Even later on when Hellacious had a dozen Raptors, he sat around twiddling his thumbs while Shaman poured a river of bombs on our team.

That to me is much more annoying than somebody being abrasive. I'd rather have team mates that get annoyed with me and (yes, sometimes) even swear at me so long as they are doing their best to win. Dark-GF was ranting in an earlier game but I can't blame him because he singlehandedly took on about 3 players and held his own for a long time.

Anyway, that's wy I voted "N", because Firepluk had tried to play properly and Hellaciouss was just intent on stirring the pot. I didn't see the "fuck you", btw, and frankly even if I did ... LMAO.

Astran, you realize everyone can see the replay right? And you still feel the need to lie?

No surprise given the clan tag.

Would you like me to take steps to maximally reduce the proportion of games ruined for players by their teammates' deliberate disregard, Firepluk?

(Do be aware that my first step will be to permaban *you*, since among my possible actions this offers the largest improvement by far.)

quote:
Firepluk was out front with me expanding and Hellacious was playing with himself in his base.

The part where Firepluk didn't plop a factory for like three minutes before he got bombed isn't really OK.

You doing either of these things can directly prevent other people playing a playstyle they enjoy playing. Wasting early metal on an un-needed antinuke or losing air because you didn't make fighters is not unlikely to be straight up gamelosing, no matter how your teammates play.

As such, you can expect to face negative feedback from your team for doing these things.

quote:

What about the replay? Perhaps you sent your Raptors out at some point, but fundamentally Firepluk's com did get bombed by six Ravens very early; those bombers should have been prevented or at least punished by your fighters, but they were not.

Saying that Firepluk "played properly" is stretching the truth given that he never fac plopped, but Firepluk was indeed at the front expanding, and Astran's critique of your play is accurate.

Its kinda ironic when u Hellaciouss, ask for something to be done about bad behaviour,
when u clearly threw the game on KochCannyon on purpose, and admittet so(713280). In an attempt to get back at Fire/prove a point? and thus ruined the game for the entire Team.
talk about toxicity....

btw if u get so mad about a dude in a videogame(no matter if with reason or not), that u feel the need to be toxic to your entire team, maybe just log of until u have cooled down?
