Buff Sling coolness

As a low-weight artillery that works very slowly (or might not work at all against a buried caretaker), in a factory that already has ronin to kill llt decently, while also requiring a metal/attention investment to scouting, the unit is unattractive to build, and probably underused for its current power.
Simply improving the coolness of the unit might help it see more use - a heavier weapon with a beefy muzzle effect, or perhaps a recluse-like burst volley, could help the flimsy unit feel more impactful.

Do you want the sound of the cannon and the impact to be an octave lower so it sounds scarier?

I would find any kind of coolness misleading, because it's just a terrible T2 skirm (aka arti).

Make it sound like a scythe, then nobody will complain about coolness... will be busy trying to dry their pants ^^

I think it is fine to have some boring units. Anyway, it is not totally bland as it is by far the cheapest artillery. The trick to getting value out of Sling is to not overdose, and to burst against repair. For 220 metal you can remove your opponents ability to have Pickets. Spending more metal does not greatly impact their ability to have Pickets.

Here's a random terrible idea. Giving the sling a D-Gun that would sacrifice the sling to drop a Claw mine near its position.

The slow Cloakybot artillery lives on the front lines assaulting pickets. It has low movement speed and no hope of escape. Being a cloakbot, it could possess a cloakable power core, which could be rigged to its ammo supply, ejected, and set to blow when it detects an enemy signal.

This noble sling and its high explosive core would be able to sacrifice itself (and 110 metal) to protect the front line from up to 200 health worth of raiders, if they could be maneuvered into the right position.

Sling is OK, it would be hugely improved by better unit AI to prevent it wasting shots on moving un-shielded units & radar dots it can't hit
