Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with developing the AI for Zero-K. I am currently a college student that is looking to use Zero-K as a way to test reinforcement learning algorithms. I followed the Zero-K development guide on how to get started with modifying the game, but I couldn't find anything online on how to modify/create the in-game AI. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Turk, also known as the Mechanical Turk or Automaton Zero-K Player (German: Schachtürke, "zero-K Turk"; Hungarian: A Török), was a fake Zero-K-playing machine constructed in the late 18th century. The Turk was in fact a mechanical illusion that allowed a human Zero-K master hiding inside to operate the machine. With a skilled operator, the Turk won most of the games played during its demonstrations around Europe and the Americas for nearly 84 years, playing and defeating many challengers including statesmen such as Napoleon Bonaparte and Benjamin Franklin.

Join our discord at https://discord.gg/aab63Vt, there's an #ai channel there. Most dev talk is best done in chat instead of the forums, I'm not sure if we have a complete tutorial on how to make a spring AI, but people will point you towards docs and github repos of existing bots.

Some time ago we had a rather active AI scene with a few interesting bots, even had an AI tournament I think. The Circuit AI you see used in the game now came from that. Would be nice to see the scene rejuvenated actually.
