I was experimenting with AI only matches yesterday when I loaded up a map that consisted of multiple islands with the majority of the map being sea, for the most part the AI handled this just fine fielding boats and hovercrafts along with RED creating a gunship factory, however then we hit late game and YELLOW built a Strider hub. It proceded to build only Dantes, Scorpians, and Catapults (Which were doing more damage to its own structures than the enemy due to being forced to take long distance shots into its own base). It should be noted that the location YELLOW decided to build these Striders was a small island with zero connections to any other land mass.

There were three bots all set on different teams and put on Hard difficulty.

AI was not designed with island maps in mind so while it can sort of play them/tries to pick sensible factories, it will still do stupid stuff in the late late game when it runs out of water-friendly factories to build - currently it tries to build a new factory every 13 minutes, and there are only so many that are sensible choices.

Maybe it should learn about transports?

AI with transport micro would be freaking terrifying.

Is CSI super scary now? Can we enable it?

it does work with current zk, but it's also all taken apart right now. I might put together a usable ai again when i have more time or ai development scene becomes interesting enough again.
