Hi,

Quick question, or more of a request.

I logged in today and received a message notifying me of moderator action. However there doesnt seem to be any way of finding out any further details about this, and any such actions undertaken seem to not be impacting my current log in.

Is there any way to view the specifics?

thanks,

The last penalty you received was a 4 day ban for "Repeated Team sabotage (e.g., http://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/481368)"

Penalties are visible in your profile for their duration.

Thanks hoko, I really have no recollection of the specific events leading up to this.

In compliance with the rules, I am not disputing anything. However I am suggesting that the details only being available during the term of the penalty is probably not adequate.
I dont think I am alone in that I now log in sporadically. In which case if a penalty is applied, the details are not available once I log in.

This has a two fold effect,

1, It means that there is no way to see if something has been fairly applied.
2, There can be no "learning" from the penalty.

Perhaps something could be added to the interface.

thanks,

And Happy new year!

I think there is a more substantial issue if you need a history listing of your moderator penalties

I don't see why users shouldn't be able to see their penalty history. Just have the names of the mods hidden.

Less UI that needs to be made, but more importantly, it's not the kind of history users would be proud to have in their profile forever. It's why most games only have "positive" achievements.

I like to think of past bans as "you got punished for misbehaving, you served your time and now you are free to play". Forgive and forget. At least until you get banned again, for even more time.

Could be quite useful...
My list probably will be long enough to cover walls of my 22 sq.m. room :P

gajop, precisely, a ban history encourages one to collect a history

While history is probably not what it is desired, from an UI perspective, if there is a message like "there was moderator action" but not what was it is/was about, it is at least confusing...

A notification-type thing could work. Automatically disappearing after first login or after being read.

There already is a message in place saying
Your account has received moderator action: Reason

Is there a bug with this?

the main issue with it is its too 'closed book' people should at-least be given the option to cause additional bother.. perhaps you could code a special button they can press.. it doesn't even have to do anything..

Then give him punishment for careless handling about his account safety.
