Organise a 2v2 someone?

Been a good year since last 2v2 comp, Anyone up for organizing?.. I would but good chance i wanna participate, and that would be a conflict of interest

I could participate if it were to happen in christmas period.

A suggestion is teams participating in the 2v2 should only permit a maximum combined elo.

This would:

create a more competitive, less predictable competition.
Encourage lesser skilled\experienced players to get involved.
Encourage teamwork.

Depending on how extreme you want the threshold, im thinking somewhere between 3600 - 3900.

The elo\whr would be referenced from the date the tournament is announced as to avoid tanking.

yes that and some top 50 players getting a stab at it, but yes a Sigero\anir or dein\gf would just own. that needs to be avoided.

it's a gauge, not a perfect science, besides 2v2 is not 1v1 and it's not lobstercluster. but this would realte to casual whr not 1v1.

and considering what you said, there would be a risk of a returning pro whom is not listed, but im sure a history value can be applied to avoid. Also, Encourage inactivity?, increasing rust makes the cogs spin slower.

basically if your a 1950 + player you cant participate with an around equal, u have to pair with a 1800 or sub player.

Also most prefer a friendly team mate or someone they enjoy playing with, this will supersede skimming the edges of upper limit, I mean could Corvus really play more than 2 games with anyone without civil war?

Maybe the tournament organizer should have to grant each team. + Elo-Limit

Btw, when we are talking about elo limit, i guess you mean Casual Elo.
