Spectators can set "Chicken Status" for unit retreat. It is at interface bug at least. For now I can't say that this is affects real unit status.

About affecting on gameplay. I remember that I saw red Cross on units? when I 've set that status. So it's may be not only interface bug.

can you link a demo file where peoples used retreat?
I want to see if this can cause a different outcome :)

I wonder if it can desync you (specs which could desync ppls?).

It's a widget, it doesn't affect the game. The red cross is just visible to you.

It was never considered a bug before because most people knew how widgets work. There are buttons that are part of the game and buttons that are made by widgets. I can understand why it appears like a bug if you don't know that. The usual solution is having the widget disables itself when you're a spectator so you don't see the button.
