maybe a stupid question but how do you draw , ping put text and remove it on the minimap/map?

Hold down the key between Esc and Tab, then hold the left mouse button to draw, middle click for a marker, hold the right mouse button to erase and double left click for a marker with text.

Yes that's what I mean. If your keyboard looks like this:
Though now I remember there have been some changes to how hotkeys work, so this might no longer be correct. Please let me know if that is the case. Perhaps something can be done about that.

just tested it. the "^" button is the one. (red key on your picture)

Yeah there's three or four buttons that work. I thought about adding buttons to support many different keyboards, but then eventually some hotkeys would be used for two different actions. I suppose a lobby or game would have to find out about what keyboard a player uses and automatically adjust hotkeys. That is, if we want keyboard layouts to be the same for all players.
