quote: Develobsters deploying fresh code on the Friday evening - Saturday morning are disease driving new and old players away |
[Spoiler]The recent bugged lobby update was complete repeat of the last bugged lobby update from four months ago. (
http://zero-k.info/Forum/Thread/21049?postID=151941151941 )
And before that too. 100% same shit.
No communication that an update would happen.
As result: Nobody had tested.
Testing was not possible anyway because:
-No info where to find test-download.
-The test-download is broken.
Still afterwards develobsters compplain that they were no volunteers who tested.
Then once the unplayable release is out:
-There is appearently no way to revert it.
-Not one organized thread about lobby update/problem, instead is dozen chaotic threads on same topic with conflicting info.
-Only half reported problems make it into bugtracker.
-Players simply move to alternative lobby clients.
That is what happens when the lobby gets new graphics. I wonder what happens when there is bigger updates.
And nobody sees problem with that, but when some 14yo dude wants to make train factory there is lots of fun-making and berating about picking more realistic projects and needing a plan and such. Picking easy target for comnap...
Too lazy to make this into meme form.
Small visual updates are driving away new and old players.
