Can anything be done to pause wars finally?

What I suggest is -
a player presses pause button, game gets paused and a 30 sec poll (!pause) "pause the game" appears.
If the poll fails game gets restarted and pause button is blocked for a couple of minutes. Pressing pause button by the vote caster fails fails the poll too.
If the poll passes game gets paused for 2 or 3 minutes (adcustable by !pause 5, 6 or whatever), after which players will be warned on chat that game is starting in 5 seconds and it gets restarted. Pause command is blocked or a couple of minutes again.

No more pause warz, no more ''liberum veto'' from a random player who refuses to wait even tho all other players do. GG WP

Why are people pausing in team games?

That seems like the most important thing to get a grip on before doing anything else. Are people needing to use the bathroom, answer the phone, or what? Can people largely do those things without pausing (just notifying their team and being afk briefly) or is doing that considered really bad form even when there are 9 other people able to cover for you? If that's the case, then I can see your idea working.

There are many cases when pause comes in handy. Player lagged, player coming late, it happens u need to answer the door for a minute, or so. It even happens u need to keave room for literally 30 seconds and u come back just to realize you 75% golly got cancelled all metal u had stockpiled dissapeared and your conball dead.
Well, if its not usefull why is it there at all?

Well, actually about hte auto-afk thing. It sucks. It is just pointless in the way it is.

I mean.. Imagine you have to leave the room, as I said before, for a couple of seconds, and you know that nothing bad will happen, as either you are just ecoing, or your units are on the way to teh front and will take a minut to get there, or you are actually regruping/repairing a bit away from front, or whatever. Anyway, you are sure taht u can safely leave for a couple of seconds. You get auto afked after a half or so minute. You get back and random things happens to your stuff.

On the otehr hand if u really need to leave, and u need to do so in a middle of the battle, before your units get transferred to other player they are dead.

Maybe the way to go would be implementing !afk command, and extendign auto-afk time to 1.5-2 minutes?

(and reducing lagging/catching up/dropped transfer to 5 seconds?)

How about if a person goes AFK, all moveable units head to nearest factory and factory orders that were placed when player wasn't afk cannot be cancelled?

Sounds like people get screwed too easily with afk mode. How about a two-stage afk mode. Stage one gives only completed combat units. Then if enough time passes, stage two gives the rest (as it is currently).
