Hi,

i'm using an 4.0 sound setup on Ubuntu 15.10 and want to get the music played also on my surround speakers. Per default its only played on the left an right speaker, while the surround speakers are also used right for sounds from "behind", but I want to get the music mixed also to all channels.

I've looked in the configs but couldn't find any setting.

Is is possible to get my desired behaviour?

Offhand, I'm not sure, but it's more of an engine question, so you'll probably find more success asking the Spring engine forums.

I would also like to know this but I think it is not possible.
The config options for sound are not very detailed: There is volumes and other basic stuff.

If there is a way then it is not well documentated.
Maybe there is an obscure way, like there is some half-forgotten stuff with audio presets (with /tset snd_eaxpreset X , X=something from https://github.com/spring/spring/blob/9bec15418279f1ecd87a5586d5f4ae44f8fee0ad/rts/System/Sound/OpenAL/EFXPresets.cpp but) , so there might be more hidden..? or not.

Maybe try to config it in OS/sound driver, my guess what be that you have to put center-channel on all speakers or so.
