By the way, if you get 8x High power servos on a jumping commander then you should be able to dodge Penetrator or at least run away from other nearby units. If you can't do that then think about changing your modules, chassis or playstyle. Or write a widget that automates this. Or train your micro skillz. Or just build an Athena to resurrect your commander.

Sorry, "High Frequency Beam" is not applied to my config, so Recon commander is not able to outrange Lotus.
So now i know that all 8 slots for speed are free (and no matter if Penetrator has 3000 or 4000 damage in this case).

Delete this topic, please.

Recom can't outrange lotus even WITH high freq and one of the higher range beam weapons.

350 *1.15 = 402.5, lotus has around 460 range.

Neither Beam lazor nor Light particle one has 350 range... Also you forgot taht High freq beam adds 15% range boost, while adv targeting module adds 10%... Both take base value, so its basically (300 or 330) * 1.25

heavy particle beam and disruptor beam have 350, and last time I checked (yesterday) recom cannot use adv targeting modules.

Also your math is wrong, high freq increases the base range so it'd be (350 x 1.15) x (1 + (0.1 x numAvdTargetMods))

Same way. Only you get A LOT more damage at 300 range due to the falloff point being further out. You'd get the same damage as if the target was at 128 elmos... only at 300 elmos! This turns the commander into a lulzy bullshit skirm/riot/assault thingy.... just be mindful for air/skuttles.

Heat ray damage is relative to the weapon's max range, so it would increase max range and increase damage at any given range. Keep in mind that heatray has a fairly low projectile velocity so it's easy to dodge when far away.
