Hi all! I just came back to Zero-K after a year of not playing (due to university and other stuff). How is the game doing? The Linux support seems much better for one.

Drone your country has free national healthcare....that smells very commie to me. Over in 'merica we let people take personal responsibility of their health, true freedom.

Overall better then a year ago:

-I have higher FPS after this new engine switch.

-Sea is still not-fun, but progress is being made, albiet at a slow pace (recently played a sea game. Dem sniper subs are lame).

-Decreased amount of bad behaviour in me and other veteran players.

Key things:
- Server got split so you can only play ZK games here. To play other games you'd have to use a different lobby.
- ZK finally using a newer engine as performance issues got resolved (a number of new features are available).
- User base is mostly the same. Usually there is at least one big room at evening hours Europe time.
- Linux support is much better. I play on Linux exclusively and besides a few minor quirks (e.g. ZKL incorrectly detects Spring crashes and suggests to set Low Details) and https://github.com/ZeroK-RTS/Zero-K-Infrastructure/issues/586 it's running perfectly.
