where are textures/icon/etc located loacally?

I can't seem to find them. maybe im looking in the wrong place, but the .spring folder does not seem to have anything of the sort.

Why would you search for them locally? They are probably stranded somewhere in the pool.

PLrankOrfelius i want to mess around with editing the looks of the textures and gui, and editing the local files seem to be the easiest way to go about doing it

Ok then the easiest way of doings would be then:

Download the whole repo in zip format (or trough github windows extension (whatever)).
Then unzip the whole thing and rename the folder you unzip things to be [yourfoldernamewhatever].sdd
Put this folder into a game folder of the lobby and then run Spring itself. It should detect the game as is and you can modify it to your hearts pleasure.

I would also recommend setting for yourself a testing enviroment with Spring Lobby.

When using springlobby/weblobby you'll see your custom ZK.SDD as "Zero-K $VERSION".
