So apperently many of you like playing small teams but there are rarely any ever being played (wich is also why many players have quit the game for good).
I have a solution to this problem. I would like to announce Small Teams Meetup that would happen every week, where we could all jump onto mumble and play some competetive and cooperative games, a thing that has not been seen outside 2v2 tournaments at all in this community lately.

If you are interested in participating join us every Sunday 15:00 UTC :)

I think this is a good idea. I am very new to Zero-K and think it's a wonderful game, but everyone just seems to play on the huge games in ALL WELCOME. I found I stopped improving my game in those, and I suspect the same is for a lot of others. This prevents new players from making significant progress. Since you can just sit in amongst strong players and feel like you are contributing, even though you are not.

This mechanism has worked for Evo and its much smaller playerbase, always saturdays 18 UTC or something.

Saturday 15:00 UTC sound generally OK.

I have an idea: the ZK Small Teams room is great, but what if there was a bot that announced regularly updates in the ZK main channel of the state of the ZK Small Teams room. So if there are 1 or more players waiting, it will announce every 5 minutes that this is so, to encourage people to join.

I would definitly be up for that. Either Saturday or Sunday around that time would be cool(10am my time, which I can deal with)

Uh yes. Good stuff. Mhm. Perfect. 11:00 and 15:00 UTC look fine too.

I also like the idea of meetups and think 15:00 UTC would be better because of compatiblity with pacific time.

Besides don't forget about #zksmallteams. So when you're interested in playing you might find other players there who don't want to read the whole #zk.

Lynx This could cause #zk to end up like #main.

btw: there's still #zkducks for people looking for ducks-only 1v1. It seems to have been deserted in the last months.

So to sum things up:

Today's meeting was a great success and many small games were played despite many difficulties of the current infrastructure (room spawn and queue were broken).

15 UTC every Sunday is the time of our meetings from now on :)
See you next time!
