How about we have separate ELO one for Single 1 v 1 and another for large team games so that single high ELO players don't skew the balance? The balance could use a combination of their single and multiplayer ELO in case they just average out in multiplayers.

FFA shares Elo with Teams. FFA and teams are deemed to have similar skill requirements which is why a separate FFA Elo isn't really necessary.

FFA is also unpopular since it last longer than a chicken game and replaces fun with !FUN!

Good luck gathering enough FFA data for meaningful elo ranking, unless you do it solely based on metal efficiency...

FFA mode is completely different from a teamgame, even if we are playing a FFA team game. And for the point about balancing uselessnesses, think about the function of 1vs1 elo: It's for ladders only too.
