Based on this game I think some of the tricks to beating Scallop/Lobster ball are:

- Spread out your Claymores so that if the Lobster ball gets lobbed at you, you will only lose a few.

- Build a bunch of Urchins. Amphs move slow so you should be able to get out to the middle of the map before them.

- In the later game have some kind of solution for a dense ball of Scallops being lobbed at you. Likho or Reef missile both work well.

The non-Scallop player does have to put a fair bit more work in, which is a problem... but counterplay does exist.

(Yes I'm aware we lost but given that myself and USrankNitrivv were playing against two of their highest-ranked players, and were holding more than half of our side of the map until the nuke, I don't think our opponents' heavy scallop strategy was overpowering. Possibly if they'd made a few Envoys to clean up our Urchins, or been a bit less greedy with their Scallop lobs, it would have been different.)
