How is it that SErankGodde keeps losing to random people and I never had a single win against him? :|

Because some people win through being weird, such as steel_blue, and others win through superior mechanics. Godde has the superiorest mechanics, so if that is your style you lose. Wierd stuff can work sometimes if you get lucky, no matter the skill difference, but good players counter it and your elo stays put at sub-top levels.

CHrankAdminDeinFreund The trick to beat SErankGodde is you need to punish his inevitable naked expand. He skates on thin ice and cuts corners quite often because he is so used to getting away with it.

He usually baits you into playing defence with a small amount of annoying well-micro'd units causing most player to chase him in circles or over-invest in static.

You just have to ignore it and have faith in your commander to defend because if you give him an easy time he'll have half the map and air by 5 minutes lol.

Or alternatively you can just cheese like USrankSteel_Blue. PTrankraaar is a good source of inspiration to learn some dumb cheeses.

To beat him in a conventional game I think there is like a mandatory high APM requirement because he will just punish every little hole in your defence and relies purely on micro for defence. If you can't slow his expansion then you will just get out eco'd and you also need to know the meta WELL cuz he is usually 1 step ahead of what u think is meta.

Not that I beat SErankGodde very often but thats definitely what I've observed most of the time. People tend to play in an intimidated playstyle because he is rank 1. Its like mental defeat lol.

tbh if I watch a game where I won vs godde (i have to go back pretty far) I dont think theres any trick you just have to play perfect , hope this 10/10 advice helps

Well micromanaged raiders are pretty much always the best option for early game offense and defense. Meanwhile my strength mostly lies in mid to late game mechanics. Although I can trick my way into mid game against most opponents, Godde's heavy use of raider micro + naked expansion means he can usually already secure his economic victory in the first few minutes. I can try to get a win by cheesing, but even that is hard when your opponent knows his raider play.

On the other hand I feel like I can win FFA games against Godde fairly reliably - supporting the early game/APM theory.

When it comes to meta I think Godde can pull off some stunts due to his great micro. I don't feel like his strategies are especially helpful for other players. AUrankAdminGoogleFrog used to surprise me with interesting strategies much more often (and his were also much more solid, not relying on micro so much).

Even Philosoraider Mk2 is still exploitable by a godde-complete opponent though. And then there's he question of how fast the parties adapt.

Automatic local-scale raid interception could be good though (especially because for AI this means finally doing some logistics, including enemy maneuver prediction, which is bound to make current Circuit Brutal look as terrible as a teddy bear).

Godde's strong raider micro allows him to start very greedy, because he can do more than other players can do with less this greed pays off in like 3 minutes, so if you get stuck trying to defend against a 150 metal raid building a mass of defensive raiders, or defensive structures, you've lost on the economy.

Approaching godde's base with not enough force in this moment of weakness also results in loss, because the time out takes for you to move your defensive raiders forward Goode has time+metal to build unit counters or llts. I think the only way to break through is to ignore economy yourself and burst through with an army with all your starting eco. The other way to win is to fight godde with a mirror strategy, which is hard.

This early game army rush is counter able if you hold some metal or something. But then that's not playing optimally, so if godde holds back, the mirror play starts out with an advantage, investing into economy. In my head I feel like this plays out like pre scouting RPS.

Those types of rushes are definitely pre-scouting RPS.
I am not yet experienced enough to see the difference between all-ins with no economy behind them. I wanted to keep all mexes and started building defense at my frontline mexes instead of retreating to my factory and defending there.
I don't think all-in rushes are viable in Zero-K but have to depend on your opponent not reacting properly to it or not scouting properly.
I hope my greedy builds are safe from these types of rushes.
