If jack gets too close to unit it fails attacking.

Is that intentional? If you get to close to me while I'm swinging a baseball bat I'll hit you with the handle and be largely ineffective.

I guess it's a bit rubbish for placeholder synergy.

Jack has a poking animation as well as a swinging one.

Well it make jacks hard to use. You need to be going at just the right speed and jumping onto stuff is a mugs game.

I lost my first jack for no reason because of it. Would not attack for 3 or 4 secs.

Got a position and time for this casual report? I don't believe that a Jack would not shoot due to close range. It may not shoot due to aiming though.

This happens from time to time when having jacks held in place by a blackhole together with some trapped enemies.

They should have avoidFirendly=false and collideFriendly=false if not already.
Same with Scythes.

Could Jacks be being blocked by wrecks?

If so, is this intended or desirable?
